Help -what is this on the underside of the leaves?
I'm growing black ghost peppers in an indoor grow tent. Why are these leaves developing this texture underneath? Please call me out on what I might be doing wrong because I'd love to give the plant it's best possible care

Looks like severe edema from high humidity.

I think that is an insane amount of edema. If so you need to fix your watering routine and probably change your soil so it has better drainage.

The worst edema I’ve seen outside of google – fix your airflow and watering. I see algae on top of the soil which suggest a consistently moist medium. Peppers don’t that

Increased airflow/ventilation should help, along with changing your watering regime.

Just a tip I noticed as I scrolled by-
I see you have a carbon filter on your tent…that’s for cannabis or odors and clearing out the funky smells. You technically don’t need that if you’re growing peppers and you will be refilling it for a pointless cost.
Open the flaps on the sides of your tent for air flow.
You might want to cull and just re soil and pot those, nothing wrong with starting fresh vs battling a continuous problem if you can’t lock it down🙏

Plant edema. Happens from low air exchange and excess humidity. I had it severely one year moving my plants into the garage without a dehumidifier

Lol from the thumbnail I was going to say spider mites but no. That’s definitely the stuff everyone else is talking about.
