Bought this the other day since I absolutely love really spicy food. Heard some bad things about the old Paqui OOC, like that one kid who died, and wondered if this is essentially the same or is safer/better in anyway.

The Paqui one was great. I ate them for the flavor. The problem with them were that they became a viral youtube hit, and many that should not have been near them were trying them. I found out that my nephew’s Grade 4 class had a student bring one to class, and the teacher broke the chip to give anyone who wanted to try have a piece. It is very dangerous. But no more than a bottle of Hot sauce. People just aren’t giving small children/people that don’t like spice a bottle of Reaper sauce to see their reactions. It is waiver type hot. Meaning you touch one with your fingers, then touch anything like your eyes or down below, you are in for a bad experience.
PS; The kid that died didn’t die from the chip, or the heat of the chip. He died because he drank to much water afterwards

If you’re really into hot foods then it will be fine. It tastes rough though… The worst part about it for me was not being able to take a drink to wash the taste out of my mouth, not because it was so hot! I’ve had people offer to buy them to bring into work to watch me eat and I tell them not to bother because it’s not entertaining watching someone eat it unless they’re going to struggle. I think you’ll be fine!

Don’t do it. That’s my only advice. I did the blue one, which tasted like oxidized battery acid, and about 1 minute in felt like I had molten lava in my mouth, that spread to my lips, down my throat and into my stomach. Breathing was actually difficult, I would alternate between coughing and wrenching about 10 minutes later that resulted in my breathing in a little of my hell fire tainted saliva, which in turn resulted in my basically spasming on the floor.
There was no reprieve from the pain. For several hours I regretted everything that led up to that point. Hours later the pain in my mouth lessened, but I was acutely aware of every inch of progression of the vile substance through my digestive tract. Every inch. A slow moving mass of coals in my intestines. Oddly it didn’t burn coming out the poop chute but when I went to pee it was as if my urethra was a gateway to a hellfire river of damned tortured souls.
