Animal cakes from our creature carnival birthday party

But I put faces on top instead of the side (both because I realized after baking my cakes weren’t tall enough to do face on the side well, and it also just seemed easier). And lemur tail kept breaking, until it was more of a hint of lemur tail. And I added a party hat to the polar bear.

I couldn’t decide which one to do, so ended up making three. In retrospect this feels like a crazy thing to have done (given Im a working mom who just bakes for fun/birthdays and spent way too much time on cakes this year). But my son was very appreciative.

Individually they aren’t my finest work, but I was very happy with the tableau as a trio.
