My favorite breakfast burrito place has this red sauce that is beyond amazing with the perfect amount of heat but I can’t for the life of me figure out what it’s made of

Our local place we go to at least once a week has a salsa bar that is incredible, I asked how they make one of them and I was surprised when they showed me! Give it a try! I was in yesterday and they wanted to know if I wanted to see how they made any of the others

Morita Peppers?

Its likely mostly tomatoes, arbol chilis and salt as the main ingredients. Looks like a pretty common red salsa youd find all over the place so look up an arbol salsa for more detailed recipes and play around to try and dial in the flavor.

It looks just like the salsa we use to eat tamales and pan de cazon where I’m from, which it is called “Chiltomate”
