It's not just the same Kronos lamb meat spiral that you see everywhere else. Actual chicken and pork grilled up. Really good sandwich. I had the pork, kid had the chicken. Both excellent. They've got a spicy pork that I'll be back for soon.
Don't sleep on the loukoumades either.

Went there Sunday for lunch. Was a good gyro. Got regular fries as a side, which were a bit lackluster.
Well, not everywhere. Taste in Westmont, Apolis in Lisle, and Charcoal Flame on Dempster (unsure town) all make their own homemade. It really is a step above the meatloaf-like cone even if simply seasoned.
Looks good but needs more onions!
I was curious on this place. Thanks for the review, I’ll check it out soon
Not gonna let me mispronounce it, huh?
We were really sad to see them close in Evanston, I’m glad they’re taking another crack at it.
They used to have ridiculously good yogurt with all kinds of toppings, it would be extremely dank if they did that again.
There is currently a “modernization” of the old school greek hot dog stand/gyro stand happening. There was a point a few years ago where it was hard to find this style of gyro, but the “street food” style is becoming more and more common. I’m honestly a little surprised by how many there are now. Basically if it comes wrapped up and there is paprika on it, it’s the greek street food style.
Off the top of my head:
* Taste (Westmont / Bensenville)
* Apolis (Lisle)
* Nostimo (Arlington Heights)
* QP with a kick (Schaumburg) (This one isn’t quite the authentic street food style, but it’s still very good and a new take)
* Yeero Revolution (Buffalo Grove)
* Yaya Mas (Clybourn and Sheffield)
* Kala Modern Greek (Lincoln Park)
* COVO (Bolingbrook)
* Pitaki (Fulton Market)
They used to be in Evanston and were sooooo so good.
Ate there a couple times last week. Pork and chicken gyro were exactly the way it should be, fries inside too, just like in Greece. Ah, so happy I live like 10 minutes away!
