The picture I made is from a seminar which was free on my University in Geisenheim. I did the same one last year already but why not taste some Californian wines twice 😀
Fist of all he was really nice in real life and friendly to all students. He was a bit more funny then last year aswell haha.
One thing which "annoyed" me or made me mad were the other students studying oenologie who were a bit TO educadet/snobby for me. Heard some aromas like: Gasstation, pomelo, dry/washed clothes, tomato leaf (is alright).
All in all were still a great evening.
If you want any of the wines notes comment and I will post them here.
I Tasted:
Gloria Ferrer Blanc de Noirs – Carneros
2019 Tablas Creek Vineyard Côtes de Tablas Blanc – Adelaide District / Paso Robles
2022 Wente Morning Fog Chardonnay – Central Coast
2021 Spottswoode Sauvignon Blanc – Napa County & Sonoma County
2021 Black Stallion Pinot Noir – Los Carneros

I like to find tomato leaf, but it isn’t very common 😉
Considering this is KB, I am a little surprised how conventional the lineup is. Reads like a mid range steakhouse list to me.
Based on the bottles, I would have probably skipped.
