I’m using stock images but I am always on the lookout for new cheeses to try whenever I go to the store. Credit to various cheese websites, resources, and sellers for the cheese images and cheese facts. If any of you know some cheeses that I haven’t done yet I would love some input!
Here is your daily cheese facts: As fall comes to the Rogue Valley, cooler temperatures and wet weather bring renewed growth to the pastures. This is when Rogue Creamery’s cow’s milk is at its best – and it’s only during these months that they make their limited edition, seasonal Rogue River Blue – a cheese named World Champion at the 2019/20 World Cheese Awards. After 9 to 11 months of careful tending in their aging caves, their team hand-wraps each wheel in organic, biodynamic Syrah grape leaves that have soaked in pear spirits.
Also as a note: I post my daily cheese here as well as in my r/dailycheese subreddit.

Got five wheels in this year. Last year a guy bought a whole one for gifts. Came back and gave us a quarter to split. Already sold half a wheel to a cat.

Are the cheese types infinite? If probably 90% of all fungi have not been identified… then surely it would follow that there are as many undiscovered and uncharted cheeses?

I’ve tasted this at Slow Food Festival in Bra, Italy. It’s delicious, I was happy to discover that there are some good cheeses being made in the US.

The first time I saw this, it was like $50/lb and I would not normally pay that for cheese, but blue cheeses are my favorite. This is the best blue I’ve ever had.

Jealously guarding the one wheel I got this year. I have to do the math, so I can hopefully get 2 holidays out of it.

Please tell me you’re making a cheese encyclopedia! BTW today’s is a favorite in my house! Righteous work.

Whole Foods will not be carrying it this year, FYI. Sorry to break the bad news but maybe your local cheese retailer will have some
