
I like this recipe but I don’t like cream cheese so as-is it’s generally been a little light for me…
So I sautéed a small onion and 2 big handfuls of spinach and added that (plus quadrupled the garlic, of course!) It was terrific and much more filling than when I’ve made this, previously.
Thought I would share in case anyone else is similarly – sauce averse.

I’m not a huge fan of the cream cheese sauce, but this one came with garlic powder to add. I think it improved the taste a lot. I only brush a thin layer of sauce on my flatbread; using half the sauce would definitely be too much for me. But my daughter loves the sauce so I load it up on hers. We like this one and the one with chicken sausage.
