Nope. That’s perfect. Probably on the higher end of medium rare, too. If he complained it was too pink, it’s because he likes the idea that he likes medium rare, but he prefers medium. My family are like that, they say they like their meat rare but if I cook it rare, they’re screaming about blood and redness. Gotta make it medium rare like you did or medium in some cases.
