Please forgive the flute — got this at a bar and that’s what they gave us, and they were busy so we felt bad asking for different glasses. Oh well.

This vintage Champagne is equal parts Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and was aged for 7 years on its lees. Dosage is 8 g/L.

**Tasting Notes:** light gold colors with fine, focused, and intense bubbles; nose of lemon, honey, and quite a bit of yeast and brioche; medium bodied, with bright acidity and creaminess; tastes match nose plus a bit of salinity; medium finish; decent but not great value at its ~$100 USD retail price — though I definitely would’ve liked to taste this in a better glass; under these tasting conditions (I’m likely underrating it), a 4.3 out of 5

  2. I think their La Cuvee is a better deal. About half the price and I actually like it better. Not as zesty and a bit smoother and rounder imo.
Still nice champagne you got there!

I have a 2012 that I picked up while travelling, since we can’t get the Millesime where I live. CT seems to keep pushing to wait on it but recent notes are tempting me to pop (gently) that cork.

    Thanks for the review.

I don’t mind a flute. I feel the pendulum has swung so far to the “hate” side on ‘em, and I kind of get why, but it’s never prevented me from enjoying a nice bottle of champagne, that’s for sure!
