These designer hybrid heirlooms or “Hylooms” are being marketed to Small scale farmers doing high tunnel and greenhouse growing. There’s a profit margin if you can sell 30 lb of fruit for $3 to $4 a pound off of a plant that cost you $4.
For the home Gardener, I would stick with one of the thousands of fantastic well-known heirlooms that you can get cheaply and save the seeds.
