

Made the sandwich bread from the recipe in the new King Arthur book. The rise wasn’t quite as vigorous as I hoped, and the shape is pretty squat because my only loaf pan is that shape. A bit dense but utterly delicious. (My 9-year old son says it’s better than what we get at the grocery store, which puts me on top of the world!)

That looks great, especially for a first loaf. Keep at it, it gets easier and better the more you make (25 yr bread- baker, here)
