Those frank family farms are decent. Not superb but good

The Austin Hope’s are not bad. Where is this walmart? Lol

I’d also scoop up the Austin Hope and Frank family

I would be buying up all the Frank Family. It’s a steal at $17.

Shit…now I may have to step foot inside a Wal-Mart…

  5. I’d probably buy them out of the Nicolas Feuillatte. Usually $40-45 a bottle—big champagne, but still champagne.

  6. Piper Heidsick, frank fam, patz and hall are all good buys.

Thank you to everyone who has replied so far! I’ll be returning and buying any remaining Frank Family, a couple of Austin Hope, and potentially the Piper/Nicolas as well! I never find deals on wines so it’s exciting to try something that otherwise may be out of my price range

  8. I normally get those Franks for about $28-$30 since they’re always a hit at dinner parties. Amazing deal!

Another warning about these walmart discount wine bins – they have been sitting inside Walmart for months/years and are being disco’d out because they dont sell (ie too expensive for walmart customers lol) and the conditions inside Walmart are generally less than ideal (bright fluorescent lights that can damage the wine over time) I would suggest buying a small amount before diving in and buying it all up

No love for Cloudy Bay? Not exactly my preferred style of Sauvignon Blanc but I would buy a few for 25.

I live in Europe and do not know about the general American prizing levels, but I highly recommend Elouan, as it has been a pleasant surprise for me in terms of price:quality ratio and seem to box above its weight class.

On the other hand, Patz & Hall Pinot is a nice enough pinot, but the fruit is very jammy and seem to lack enough acidity to balance things out, but it might just be the “traditional” Sonoma Style after all, which I then have not yet managed to appreciate fully.

Neither of these recs are great wines but stuff I would snag if the price is right. The Ferrari-Carcano Fume Blanc is an okay sauvignon blanc and that FFC Director’s Cut chard both sell fairly well in my restaurant. Not for me but the average wine drinker usually orders them.

That antica label isn’t being made anymore. It’s dwmn good juice. I’d buy one or two.

I live in a relatively expensive city. See below for the prices I pay for some of the wines in the photo. I’d get at least a couple bottles of each of these considering they are priced so cheaply (imo).

    Austin Hope: $50-100
    Nicolas Feuillatte: $40-50
    Piper Heidseick: $50-60
Prisoner Cab: $50-60 (full bottle, I see the cab is a 375 ml)
