I’ve been eating sardines and tinned fish for years, but recently joined this sub and seeing all the posts got me itching to try some new brands and see what I could find in my area. I started at Home Goods to see if they had anything in their food section. Found the Angelo Parodi (Portugal) and Ocean’s (Scotland) on clearance. Everything else came from an International (mostly Mediterranean and middle-eastern) market called Phoenicia, and includes finds from Latvia, Croatia, Slovenia, Tunisian, Portugal, and Morocco. Also, if you don’t already have one, you might need this bag (pic 2) from Trader Joe’s for lugging around your sardine loot.

So far we have tried the Diplomats with lemon. They were delicious and had a half slice of preserved lemon in the can.

  3. I’m currently addicted to Delamaris, I brought a haul back from Slovenia last week. I’m afraid they’re not going to last very long.
