My second attempt at a sourdough loaf!
I followed casacalifano ‘s tutorial on TikTok. Link below 👇
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTY9JJ5ve/
My first loaf was so flat & dense. It still had that sourdough flavor but it was not fluffy or soft. From the get go the dough just looked wrong but I just kept going. I read the recipe instead of watching videos. This time I was so careful & spent so much time making sure everything was perfect… I must say my hard work paid off!
My advice to anyone new to sourdough:
If your first loaf is bad- DO NOT GIVE UP!!! You & your sourdough will prevail.
Watch videos. Don’t overestimate yourself, even if you consider yourself a good baker. Be humble.
Pics of second & first loaf attached!
I was too ashamed to take a pic of the inside of the first loaf. I regret not taking one for comparison.
Happy baking, friends!

Can you please share what you learned or did differently to achieve this beautiful loaf? Curious how you went from flat/dense to this.
All I can see is the smiley face at the bottom of your crumb. Looks great to me! Nice job.
