Yes, I know — too young, infanticide, right to jail. Someone else opened this and I wasn’t going to say no to a glass.

The estate is certified biodynamic and practices organic farming. This vintage is a blend of 56% Merlot, 41% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot. It spent a year in new oak barrels and another year in large cask.

**Tasting Notes:** deep ruby, bordering on purple; pronounced nose of black berries, cinnamon, and a bit of tobacco and cigar box; palate is medium+ bodied, with firm tannins balanced nicely by some juicy acidity and a fairly restrained alcohol level (13.5% ABV); long, mouth-drying finish; already more generous than I’d expect and yet it almost certainly will improve in bottle given the caliber of producer (that said, I think this wine will be at its peak in 5-10 years, not 20+); I always rate on value, and at its ~$300 USD price point and this early in its development, I’ll give it a 4.5 out of 5 (though with serious upside)
