Beautiful nose with clove, spice, pomegranate, and a touch of lavender. On the palate this wine is smooth and delicious, tannin is well integrated and the red cherry and strawberry fruit is gorgeous and plump. While there are some chalky tannins on the finish this wine is pretty much open and very generous, unlike a lot of Corton which needs like 10-20 years to show the goods (in my humble opinion).

Is Guyon a coveted top 10 producer? No. Does he make Burgundy that can be both affordable and delicious? Yes and this wine is no exception – outstanding bottle.
