wtf? i got mine for a hundred bucks on amazon…

also saw one for $20bucks at a clearance store. Obviously i’d assume their power and sealing is superior but for sous vide it works perfectly fine.

I think you need to ask what size you need your seal bar to be. I have the fortunate position of having absorbed a Henkelman Jumbo 42 from a business bankruptcy. I started doing sous vide in the last few weeks simply because I got it cleaned up and a fresh jug of vacuum oil.

  3. what features do these have that you need and which a standard 30€ doesn’t?

800€ for a vaccuum sealer lmfao
My old 45€ vaccuum sealer is stillnrunning after 7 years.

Spare yourself the bucks and get a whole cow’s rear to butcher and sous vide.

  5. You don’t need a vacuum chamber. Normal vacuum sealer will be fine.

I got this knockoff brand on amazon for 225 about 5 years ago and it’s still doing great. Use it weekly.

I got a chamber sealer because I use it for liquids…soups, pudding, custard…

It weighs a ton and takes up a lot of space. I put mine in a small cabinet with wheels so I can tuck it away in a corner.

All of these are unnecessary spending in a non commercial environment.
