    That thicker piece looks rare at center. The piece cut at the top looks medium rare.

    Slices are not all the same. Some rare and some medium rare, but all look fantastic. I’m hungry now. I’ll be right over.

    That is rare. The centre of that will still be fairly cool. Any less of a cook on that and its blue.

    Looks good. Great effort for your 1st attempt.

    Very close to a perfect MR. If you achieve MR, the steak will transform with the breakdown of the gelatinous collagen, making it more flavorful and tender.
