I never would have imagined this considering I originate from the bountiful vegan land of Portland, Oregon. This beastly beauty was made by V-Grits in Louisville, Kentucky.

V-Grits is so good! I usually get the burger because it’s divine.

Looks great! If I ever make my way out there I’ll see if it can beat my vegan chicken sandwich. Homemade focaccia, fake fried chicken, and green chile with honey.

Dang I absolutely love vegan junk food like this.

Sadly they’re closing and today is their last day open

  5. Can confirm, V-grits is a must visit if you’re in Louisville. Roots also wonderful.

  6. I wouldn’t think Kentucky a good place to have vegan food. Looks amazing

V-Grits rules so hard! Everytime I make it down to Louisville I gotta go!

Yep. Louisville is like a mini, more conservative Portland 🙂

I grew up there and then moved west, and then spent several years living in Seattle and traveling to Oregon (I’ve got family there). Louisville has morphed into Portland Lite with a lot of food, craft beer, events, and distilleries that remind me so much of Portland.

I visited Louisville for the first time last spring. I was so excited to try this place. They ended up being closed every time I had an opportunity to get over there 😭😭 super disappointing.
