PieCaken is an 8-inch round pie and cake dessert invented by Zac Young in 2015. The three layer mash-up dessert has several seasonal flavors, including:

Valentine’s Day
There are some flavors that are only sold for a limited time like the Red Hot Red Velvet Piecupen and The Pielogen. Each PieCaken weighs six lbs. and serves 8 to 12 dessert lovers.

What is Christmas PieCaken?
The Christmas PieCaken is a layered pie-cake dessert with slabs of Chocolate Pecan Pie, Eggnog Cheesecake, and Red Velvet Cake. It is frosted with Amaretto Buttercream and topped with Cherry Pie Filling. The Christmas PieCaken is decorated for the holiday season with red and green sprinkles.
For those who do not celebrate Christmas, there is also a PieCaken for Passover. The PassCaken is three layers of matzo-crusted coconut macaroon pie, flourless chocolate cake, and raspberry mousse. It is topped with chocolate and sea salt matzo crumble.

History of the Christmas PieCaken
The PieCaken started out as a fun dessert to compete with turducken. The turducken is a trio of Thanksgiving meats that rival traditional turkey. Chef Zac Young was working at a restaurant in New York City that was set to serve turducken. Turducken is a chicken inside a duck inside a turkey.

Winter-Themed Christmas PieCakes
He created a cake and pie dessert that features three desserts in one: pecan pie, pumpkin pie, and spice cake. The Original PieCaken is frosted with cinnamon buttercream and topped with apple pie filling. What was meant to be a limited offering turned into a social media frenzy and bakery business devoted to making one of the world’s most unique desserts.
The winter-themed Christmas PieCaken was created after the Thanksgiving-themed Original PieCaken.
