I… I don't know. My manager didn't know when he took the order. I didn't know when he explained it to me. But apparently this is what the customer asked for when he got it.

Maybe it makes it easier for the customer to chew?

“Yes, I’ll take the bratwurst, but I’d like it wedged…”

As someone with kids, that looks exactly like some shit a child would demand. Is it possible that’s who’s behind it?

I think I understand why, could be mouth wired shut or has tmj, my gf has it so it’s difficult to eat some large items.

Technically hot dogs are a big chocking hazard for kids under a certain age so cutting it like this can help make it safer to eat.

  6. I work with individuals with disabilities and some of them have certain diet textures prescribed to them, such as 1” strips for finger foods (sandwiches, chicken strips, hotdogs, etc). Could be case here.

Hotdogs are a notorious choking hazard for kids when not sliced lengthwise.

  8. “Yeah let me get a hot dog cut into 4ths vertically” 🙃

This reminds me of when I worked at a local restaurant as a cook, and we had this dish that was a whole chicken breast breaded with coconut flakes and deep fried then served with this zesty orange sauce. We had a woman who would come in periodically and she always ordered the coconut chicken but she demanded it be cut up for her. Like one time when I was still fairly new (hadn’t encountered her order yet) and didn’t see the note to cut it up and it went out to her in one piece. Instead of just cutting up her own food she sent it back and made us cut it for her.

I sometimes have a customer that just orders a plain chicken breast
