I can attest that this may not have been caused by negligence. We have a combi that has not been able to be self cleaned for over a year now. Every time a tech comes out here they give a completely different diagnosis than the last one and all of them have failed to solve the problem. First it was lime buildup in the plumbing, then it was the water pump, then it was the seal/sensor, etc. The combi self cleans for a total of 5 minutes then stops and gives an error code.
