MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) – Bob Vogelbaugh, known as Mr. Thanksgiving, now holds a key to the City of Moline.

Vogelbaugh was presented the key to the city, as well as an honorary street sign, in recognition of his 50+ years of service to the Quad Cities community.

“I just want to thank all of you and wish you all a wonderful upcoming holiday season,” Vogelbaugh said.

Vogelbaugh has hosted an annual and free community Thanksgiving meal since 1972.

Additionally, the City of Moline honored Vogelbaugh with a proclamation declaring Nov. 28, 2024, as Bob Vogelbaugh Day. The proclamation was presented to him at this year’s Thanksgiving meal, officials said.
