This sound like an incredible amount of work, but Julia is so calm about it that I don't feel as intimidated as I would normally be to make something like that. I had no idea how intricate the process was to make one of my favorite Thanksgiving foods. Thank you for preserving this great ladies Legacy. Blessed be.
"Cut it into rectangles!" cuts into triangles
Me too Julia, Me too
I've made them before. It's an all day process, so plan on starting very early in the morning.
12:58 Does Julia have a clothes iron in the back of her WGBH refrigerator?
She obviously absolutely loved cooking. Even this fiddly rather labour intensive process she describes as ‘fun’ and ‘exciting.’
I loved croissants with hot chocolate when I was younger. I'd dunk them in…delicious!
How lucky we are to live in times when one can simply click on a screen and there appears a master chef showing you step by step how to prepare such delicious food.
The first 20 seconds had me in SHAMBLES 😂
As soon as the video started: "IT'S A SQUARE."
I love Julia Child 😀
I think it's actually 81 layers of dough and 54 layers of butter? Since after the first fold of 3 you have 2 layers of butter and 3 layers of dough, and you triple them each with each subsequent fold.
The whole breakfast scene with clanking cups and saucers it’s so quintessentially Julia.
❤☕❤
Now I know how the French pronounce Croissant 🥐. 🙂
I' m guessing this is the updated version of the mid 1960's episode.
I love it when the cameras point too far off the set such as this one when she walks to the refrigerator.
