I had served some before remembering to take a picture.
I used the recipe from Kenji's YouTube channel. Was actually less work than I was anticipating and the end result was amazing. Will definitely be making this again.
I’m sorry to report this, but when I initially read your title I thought you were suggesting that Kenji had a beef – you know, like a bitter disagreement – with broccoli.

Made this recently too. Added some dried ancho chiles and used almost twice as much sauce as recommended. I think Kenji is right about the sauce not being meant to be the star, but I like it better that way 🙃
