(WPDE) — Volunteers are working around the clock to prepare a Christmas meal to provide food and fellowship to community members.
It’s the 36th annual Community Christmas Dinner, which will be held at eight locations this year from Andrews to Fair Bluff.
People can get a meal to-go, delivery, or enjoy a sit-down meal.
They plan to feed over 13,000 people this year, thanks to the help of 300 volunteers.

Volunteers said it’s an annual tradition that they treasure.
“It’s camaraderie not just for those that are getting the meals but those of us that are helping provide the meals. For me, one of the biggest things is my daughter’s been involved for the last 10 years and she enjoys getting out and helping and do things that she wouldn’t normally do,” said Matthew Reynolds, Volunteer.
A new option this year will be the sit-down Community Christmas Dinner at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church. The dinner will be on Christmas Eve instead of Christmas Day from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
For a sit-down dinner on Christmas Day, you’re invited to Belin Memorial United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., or The Midtown Inn on Eighth Avenue North in Myrtle Beach from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.
