Thanks to the generosity of folks in the Illinois Valley, hundreds of families were able to pick up Christmas meals earlier this week.
Both the Hall Township Food Pantry and Illinois Valley Food Pantry had their annual Christmas meal distributions on Wednesday. Long lines of cars formed in both Spring Valley and La Salle. The Hall Township Food Pantry estimates they handed out holiday baskets of food to 363 families in 5 hours.
