This temakizushi (hand roll) set from Yamayuki in Azabudai hills was mindblowing. It comes with rice, nori, gari, a whole fresh wasabi root, and a box of sashimi so you you can make your own hand rolls. Yamayuki is a famous tuna vendor at Toyosu market and they normally only sell to sushi restaurants, but this is their first retail outlet. I live in Tokyo and regularly eat at some of the better sushi shops here and the quality of the fish is close to those experiences (especially the tuna) and this set for 2 came out to about $70 which makes it one of the best bargains in Tokyo. The thing is they give you a whole wasabi root, so if you’re staying in a hotel you’ll need to figure out a way to grate the wasabi.
