    Cool find!

Tbh my depth of knowledge on Namibia is pretty small, my understanding is that due to it being grown in the southern African desert, they plant specifically heat hardy grapes like colombard and tinta barocca.

Now ruby Cabernet is a red wine grape crossed between a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Carignan, specifically designed to be a fruit but bulk wine style of wine in very hot climates.

It should be juicy fruit forward high yield style of wine. I certainly wouldn’t consider it an age worthy grape, so I’m not sure how a 1997 would fare. But the only way is to open it try it and let us know.

Don’t pay too much for it at all.

Why would it be a port?

I think the smudge is covering a b. It’s probably supposed to read ruby Cabernet which from what little I know is kind of a bulk wine item?
