I had some hiccups. The black leeched into the white on a bunch of the cookies. They still look cute so I’m trying not to be too upset about it! They taste AMAZING! The vanilla sugar adds a bit of flavour and texture on top of a butter cookie-yum! They are also very valentines and not so christmassy but I am exhausted and didn’t want to fix them by adding some of the good tips people gave me. Next year I’ll plan better!

The cookies are donated to a retirement community for Christmas morning. Most seniors don’t get gifts or have family visit them. Some have no family!

I have been doing this for four years now! It’s my favourite holiday tradition!

Merry Christmas-happy holidays!

Thanks for the wonderful comments and tips!

Not sure what you mean by black part spreading onto white. Don’t see any signs of it in picture. Where ?

Thank you for your thoughtfulness and for taking the time to bake such beautiful cookies for the elderly home this Christmas. Your kindness has truly brightened their holiday season, and your generous gesture has brought warmth and joy to those who needed it most.
