Drank from a 375ml on its own, no food.

I continue to love half bottles. It lets you enjoy just a glass each without committing for a full bottle, perfect for a weeknight or when you just want a glass as you prepare to host a Christmas party!

Decanted for two hours before drinking, at cellar temp.

On the nose, cherry, cranberry, pine. Almost felt Christmasy, but that may be the time of the year!

Nice acidity on the palate, tannins mellowed out nicely.

This is such a beautiful wine and will only get better with age.

93 points, with real upside.

Are rich people unable to keep drips off the side of the bottle? I have never seen so many pictures of high end wine with drips down the side. Pour and turn or pour and wipe. It’s not complicated.

What type of glass is that? Been looking for something similar.

One of the benefits of half bottles is that they age a little quicker as well. I popped an 18L of 2021 Guidalberto a couple weeks ago and it was like juice lol

Why haven’t I been buying more half bottles?!

Idk what I’m doing with my life in 2024, but 2025 will be all about that 375ml life.

I just picked up a 2016 Antinori Sassicaia two months ago and I have to fight myself all the time not to open it.

The funny part is, I’ve never even had Sassicaia before, I’m a Cab Sauv and Barolo guy, but I saw it at Total Wine and someone posted about trying the 16 sassicaia on their visit to the Antinori Winery and they said it was the best wine they’ve ever had. So, me being the impulse buyer that I am, had to have it 😅

Nice, I opened the 2013 yesterday and was shocked at how much I loved it. The herbal notes were very prominent and it had a unique finish. QPR isn’t there but I get why it’s rated so highly.

  7. “one-upper” season y’all , and we all love it ! beautiful wine !
