I know I need to boil it in the bag first, but would like to see if I can make it nice and crispy the way they do their Morcilla in Argentina, it shouldn’t be that different other than the use of rice as a filler instead of the noodles used in the Sundae. Anybody tried ithat?

  2. Soondae can be pretty fragile, you usually boil/steam it. I imagine if you grill it, if you go to move it/flip it, you’ll break the casing, and everything will come out.it

maybe if you dont slice it and just grill the outside?

Steam, maybe mark/finish on the grill.

I’ve never grilled it, but I’ve sautéed it in a pan on an electric burner. Super good cooked up with heavy onion. It normally turns into a mush once it’s all done and then I pick the skin out.
    Served like a spoonful serving.

I can’t find a brand that I like. I love soondae and if I can’t get it properly at a restaurant I opt for JAWS Ttopokki soondae because the refrigerated ones just don’t come out right

Steaming it is the most common way but there are various ways to cook Sundae. You can cook it in an air fryer. If you boil Sundae in bone broth or pork broth it is Sundae gukbap. I highly recommend stir-fried baek sundae. Stir fry it with some cabbage, onion, perilla leaves and perilla powder.
    Here is a full recipe.
