I bought these thinking they were what my mom said her grandmother would buy. They aren’t. So now I have to figure out how to eat them. How are these massive pasta usually served?

These are usually used to make baked pasta. You break them to make shorter pieces then bake.

I call them long ziti but I’m sure there’s a better name. Used for baked ziti/pasta al forno but I also don’t use them because I’d rather just use precut ziti. I also don’t use precut ziti and often use penne because I take what I can get living in Texas USA.

It’s called candele, you’re supposed to break them

  4. Break them, boil them, and mix them into a beautiful sugo alla genovese
