My aunt pulled this out last night and it was quite the experience. I'm not expert or even close but damn this was great!

I’ll try to give tasting notes not used to describing wine. Heavier on the cherry and dark fruit, some chocolate coffee earthy notes but very smooth no funk. Nose was fruity with a hint of leather even. No alcohol feeling at all. I had 3 glasses. Enjoyable stuff.

Hell ya! Excellent wine and glad to hear it was stored properly for that long to still be singing.

Thank you for posting! Somebody gave us a 1995 for our wedding many moons ago and although it’s been stored very well, I’ve been terrified of opening it.

I love Opus One! Yes, it’s mass marketed and owned by Mondavi, but good wine is good wine.
