HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — The Bounty of Bethlehem continued its tradition of serving thousands of meals to people in Hendersonville on Christmas Day.
The 41st annual community Christmas dinner was a huge success, organizers said. In the wake of Helene, it gave families rebuilding a chance to have turkey and all the sides together at the Hendersonville Salvation Army.

Donations from hundreds of people make the event happen, along with volunteers like Sharon Mascow, who was serving the turkey.
“I feel blessed to do it, because I know how hard it is to get food,” Mascow told News 13. “I wouldn’t think of any other thing today.”
According to organizers, the Bounty of Bethlehem’s mission is to make sure no one and no family feel alone on the holiday. Organizers planned to give out over 2,000 meals this year.
