In California the top burger chain is In N' Out. They got their start here in the late 40's and their simplicity, fresh ingredients, low prices and customer service have made them a population mainstay as well as a model for several chains we see today.

What is the most popular long standing burger chain in YOUR state?

In Chicago, generally, burger chains sit in the back of the bus

I live in NY and the only one I can think of that started here is Shake Shack. Which I like but not a huge fan of their fries.

I would go with Culver’s in Colorado.

That said we do have a local chain called Goodtimes, their signs are funny but it doesn’t have a great reputation. I am not sure i have ever been, so no comment on quality.

North Carolina here. I’m going to say Char-Grill. Others might say Cook-Out or even Dairy-O. All are great. Wonder if there’s another worth mentioning.

We’ve got Five Guys, Culver’s, White Castle here in Southern Illinois. Five Guys pretty pricy but decent. Can’t go wrong with Culver’s. White Castle pretty reliable. Steak place here in town that has an amazing burger. Special occasion if you will.
