Everyone knows about struffoli but is anyone familiar with this nut roll? The dough is non yeasted and contains anise. The filling is pignoli, walnuts, raisins, citron, brown sugar and chocolate chips. It’s baked then covered with honey. I have never seen it anywhere but in our family Christmas baking. My great grandmother brought it with her from her home in Camigliano, Caserta in 1908. We call it “pizza fiatta “ but no idea of the spelling.

Would love to know more about it and what the true name of it is!
