The top screenshot is an 80 gram 2.82 oz, 93% lean cooked ground beef patty, which has 20 grams of protein (USDA database). The lower screenshot is my 80 gram. 99.988% lean gluten- free TVP black bean quinoa burger with almost 17 grams of protein. It has 0 trans fat, 0 cholesterol, and almost 0 fat as TVP is defatted. It contains some antioxidants, essentially no sodium and some oxalic acid, as plants do. For those concerned about hexane, a neurotoxin used to process TVP, the residual hexane in TVP is only .002 percent of the product posing no health risks and it stores for long periods. (based on a 2000 calorie diet).

    aw thanks for letting me know about the hexane – I don’t want hexane in my food – so the more I can have it as 0 – the better.
