I was gifted a partial box of this tea quite a long time ago and I treasured it for far too long.. it's probably quite past date, but it was so exquisite that I saved it away. It was in a cube box with a flat top on it kind of like hard cardboard, the same color as the packets.
A bit decorative, so it was upper level stuff then just general grocery store stash.
Can anyone tell me what the contents are, what herb or plant that it comes from and if anyone knows where I could purchase a fresh box it'll be greatly appreciated.
I've been to H-Mart a few times and never quite found it.
Thank you

The area of the packet with the percents are the ingredients. I only recognize the first which is that it is 50% barley. The rest are likely grains, maybe oat or something? The name of the tea also says it is “nutty/savory” (구수한). I haven’t seen this brand, but there are lots of great barley teas or mixed grain teas. Barley tea is boricha (보리차) if you need to decipher the package.

    It’s a mixed tea.
    1. 겉보리 whole barley
    2. 둥굴레 Solomon seal
    3. 당귀 herbal root. Angelica/Purple parsnip
    4.결명자 some sort of seed/beans

Mostly korean teas are by itself. Or maybe 2 ingredients. Teas with multiple ingredients are usually lumped as herb tea. It’s not as popular as single ingredients tea.

Barley is for cooling/lowering cholesterol. Solomon seal is for overall health/inflammation/ colds. Angelica is for overall health and the last one is good for the eyes and digestion.

  3. A blended roasted grain tea. No caffeine – great as a substitute for water in any time of the year (you can have it both hot and cold) Steep for 1 minute in hot water (60-70 celsius)

It’s tea, won’t really go out of date. Pop it in a mug of boiling water and savour the aroma.
