They are all safe to drink, might not have been good to begin with, but since you are the type of wine consumer to ask a question like this, you might not be nerdy enough to enjoy tasting through them.

The Barolo in the middle of it all is the funniest thing I’ve seen on the internet all day.

Edit to add: Since you are asking here, the Barolo might be wildly good, whereas the White Zinfandels are a joke to the world of wine drinkers. But seriously pull some corks, see what is good or terrible. If you have wine nerd friends, invite them over. I have some jugs of mass produced wine in my basement that someone gave me that are really old but I still haven’t found the time to run the experiment.

Yeah – that’s a hard pass. I mean – you can try opening the unlabeled & the Barolo – but not much of a chance there.

    Drink them !!!

They will be safe, might not taste great…Terrible’s white zin isn’t known for …well anything!

  4. Junk.

Safe to drink, probably. Just for curiosity. The Barolo of unknown origin could be fine.

But almost certainly all drain pour quality.

  5. Invite someone you hate to dinner and serve that white Zinfandel.

Edit: just noticed there were two of them. Invite two people you hate to dinner.

  6. It’s the thought that counts. A sweet gesture, or the guy hates you. 🤷🏼‍♂️

You can probably use for cooking and not die from food poisoning lol

  8. Is that “Terrible’s” as in the cheap casino an hour out from Vegas?

  9. That ’98 Berringer White Zin should be singing after almost 30 years.

Cannot imagine storing those wines. Feel free to try them, but be prepared to dump them all down the drain.

  11. I would likely try the Barolo. The rest I’ll pass on.

Nope…look at that label on the barolo. No DOCG tag.
The 3 bottles on the right appear homemade to me.
I would hazard the same on the barolo unless there’s info on the back.

I’m pretty adventurous, but I’d skip opening all of these

Bottle on the far left looks like it’s going through a second fermentation if the bubbles are any indication.

  15. IDK why anybody is telling you to even consider opening any of these for any reason other than to pour them down the drain

  16. 1998 was a particularly strong year for white zin

  17. Sometimes people buy wines and save them because they are too “precious” to open or they don’t find the right occasion. In this case the wine was inexpensive grocery store wines that probably have not aged well and have most definitely not been stored well. Just say thanks and enjoy the process of opening them one by one too see how bad they are 🤣

What is up with this group and old ass Beringer lately?!

    *Headstones at a cemetery*.

Those wines have died and gone to Hell. The reds with the froth in the neck are worrisome, but the now-brown white wines….OOOF!

Technically, piss is safe to drink. Doesn’t mean I want to drink it.

  21. None of these will hurt you. Grab a friend and taste them all!

  22. Edward_Shoehornhands

You need to figure out why your wife’s grandfather hates you.

  23. ikari_warriors

This is the first time I’m inclined to write that these are not safe to drink….
