I have never sous vided anything in my life and am primarily vegetarian. I do LOVE to cook and do love kitchen gadgets and high quality appliances. My MIL got me this for Christmas and I'm just laughing so hard setting it up. It looks SO cool, don't get me wrong – but the over engineering I making me laugh. My brother in law is a big finance bro and wanted one for Christmas, so she went ahead and got me one too.
This is like the apple/ On Fly Shoes of sous vides. Making turkey breasts in it now! Will see how it works.

lol. This is deff a present, in all senses. Absolutely neat to have, over engineered as can be, and would be something I would never ever ever buy myself but would be tickled to have. Enjoy! Send us a video of you watching a full movie while standing and watching your food gently cook!
I got one too for Christmas, it’s pretty awesome and the tank size it quite large. Handled a 24 hour cook like a champ. Still like my Anova more.
Don’t forget to add about a half cup of white vinegar to the water. Helps prevent buildup.
Carrots! Sublime in a sous vide.
Damn.😳🤤
That looks fancy, but I get the point.
Everyone who sees the typical circulator kinda wants to ask what’s a dildo doing in the kitchen but they hold it back.
I have a similar all in one unit called Sous Vide Supreme. Works great, have fun with your gift!
Congrats on the new yeti too. What did you get?
that looks sexy
looks fancy whats the point of the big screen tho?
Very cool
Congrats, nice rig, but there is so much more to know about SV. Please learn about all the pros and cons prior to selecting/starting the picturesque program. Food safety is paramount!
I have the Sous Vide Supreme, but those tend to die after 2-3 years of near-daily use. I’m glad to see there’s finally something comparable on the market!
I like having to not change out the water every time I use the thing, as it’s permanently set up and ready to go (water gets changed as needed, which tends to be about 2-3 weeks unless something leaks.)
Since you’re vegetarian, if you eat eggs and if you like them poached – you can poach them in their shells and stick them in the fridge for easy prep.
169F for 14 minutes (take eggs straight from fridge to hot water) then ice bath for 10 minutes. Adjust timing as necessary for preferred doneness. Watch for eggs cracking when they go in!
If you’re into meal prep ahead, you’ll find that reheating is quite nice in the sous vide. Just package the meals in vac-seal bags so they fit well in the station.
Holy crap who won the lottery
Why does everything need a fucking screen? Lmao
It’s cool, but damn.
I got a Dash Chef all-in-one tank sous vide for Xmas a few years ago and once you figure out what the best stuff to cook with it is it’ll change your meals drastically. I absolutely love mine and haven’t has a single issue. Yours looks fancy. If you find vacuum sealing bags annoying af, look up the dash chef replacement reusable bags. They’re like 15$ and you get a bunch along with a hand pump. Way better than buying an expensive vacuum sealer IMHO.
I’m confused how this is the On Fly Shoes of Sous Vide? Besides, havent the On Clouds stopped being a popular shoe since people started getting pebbles stuck in the little side holes?
This system never made any sense to me. $1200 for a circulator, a plastic container, and a sealer sounds insane to me. It looks like they cut the price in half to 600 but it still doesn’t make sense. For that money, you could buy a chamber vacuum sealer, a circulator and a Cambro.
So, the entire sous vide becoming a thing was the result of inexpensive immersion circulators. You bring the pot/container/whatever. To see it evolving into home use versions of where it came from in the restaurant industry is hilarious.
How much did that sucker cost?
Edit: omg I looked. $600. I’m dying.
“Typhur Sousvide” sounds like Star Wars name
Look ima actually be ok with this machine @$1000 or whatever but you better own a Breville Control Freak because that’s the goated expensive appliance. Will never give mine up.
