We've been buddies for about a decade. I have rescued him from fire, grease, fryer oil, the back of sandwich tables, the floor under prep tables, the pot washing sink, the guts of the dishwasher, the garbage can, another man's knife bag and countless random bus tubs. Does he owe me? Nah. He's rescued me plenty. This little fucker shows up to work ready to rock n roll. Irreplaceable (unless you have $3.99)

You two make a good pare.
Damn, that’s old school.
Last time I saw one like that was in my grandmother’s kitchen 40 some years ago.
Appealing isn’t it?
Had so many of these stolen when I had to peel potatoes pre shift as a sever.
Bigger the tips, more you gotta watch FoH.
Dang, sounds like that thing has barely scraped by
Jonas. The best there is.
Yep, none of those newfangled things for me.
(going to regret this choice of words)
Give me a tool that wont slip out of my hands when it gets wet.
(sigh)
I’ve had mine for over 3 decades now. I’m 37. Got it from my chef uncle when he taught me to peel potatoes.
Looks like you should add Taiwan to that “rescued places” list as well
Nana would be proud.
I still have a metal one but because of its Frenching cutter at the end.
Flared bottom is always a pro move
I like the ones with the blade horizontal from the handle. It’s just easier for me.
One of the better things. Just don’t get it too close to your fingers. Bugger.
