Finally got around to hitting Elmo’s in Getzville/ north towns area and I can tell you they do not disappoint.
Got a Cajun hot and hot 5/5 split. Blue cheese was solid, hot wings were good – but whoa that Cajun Hot ? It has some serious char/ crisp on it . Immediately I’d give this place a 9.1 out of 10.
It’s also got everything you need in a legit Buffalo wing spot:
- doubles as a dive bar
- staff is knowledgeable and friendly
- prices don’t eye gouge you at $16 for a single order
- quality is off the charts
Absolute banger of an establishment with loads of signed Sabres sweaters in the dining room and bartenders who don’t need to be told to refill your beer. If you can only go to a couple spots when you’re in town, after Bar Bill you need to check out Elmo’s.

Never been to Elmo’s but the great thing about Buffalo is that there are places like this all over the place.
I recognized Elmo’s before opening it. Yum!

Gotta do double dip at Elmo’s. The only people I know that were underwhelmed by the place went in and ordered just like a plain medium or bbq. It’s enough of a dive/local place that they won’t bother explaining the flavor lineup to you either.
ALWAYS order double dip. The first flavor is the one that they will toss them in before the grill, with the second flavor being the one they’re tossed in when they come off the grill. My favorite combos:
Cajun/Hot
Cajun/Honey Mustard
BBQ/Hot
