Mi fiancé and I decided to celebrate New year’s at EM. We enjoyed everything but the highlights for us were: 1. The tuna, avocado with (a punchy) soy reduction underneath, topped with an amazing ikura and caviar (extra). 2. The “tamal de rajas” with green mole (made without chiles) and (the creamiest & sweet) uni, and 3. The Rib eye with Sansho pepper reduction, fried enochi, bearnaise sauce and truffle. Special mention to the dessert with the gold leaf, vanilla (or crème fraiche) ice cream with a kind of passionfruit coulis. We had an amazing experience at EM. Definitely our favorite “fine dining” restaurant in CDMX.

– Chawanmushi, Crab & jerusalem artichokes
– Rajas Tamale, green mole, uni
– Catch of the day, chintextle beurre blanc, black garlic foam

– Rib eye, enoki tempura, black truffle
– Shiso, mint, cucumber (pre dessert)
– Mamey tartlet with pixtle ice cream and mamey tiramisu
– Vanilla (or crème fraiche with vanilla) ice-cream with passionfruit coulis
