Mushroom and Herb Pâté is a rich, savoury spread made with sautéed button mushrooms, onions, garlic, and fresh herbs. Blended to a creamy or slightly chunky texture, it can include cream cheese or nuts for added depth. Perfect as an appetizer, it’s delicious served with crusty bread, crackers, or vegetable sticks. Its earthy flavours and velvety consistency make it a standout addition to any snack or party platter.

  1. I didn't have any walnuts so I used the remaining mixed nuts I had – almonds, brazils and hazlenuts. Still to finish making it but I bet it's delicious. Thanks Rikamondo!

  4. Wow my shopping list is getting bigger. I’ll have to get out of bed and stop watching you lol. That is amazing as I don’t like the thought of normal pate (chicken livers etc are not for me) but I like the sound of this one. Fantastic as always Rik I’m turning you off I’ve got lots to do today lol take care.

  5. I've just made this.. And had some for my lunch, with some homemade Green Tomato Chutney, The rest for the freezer. Absolutely delicious, Cheers Rik,

  6. This was so delicious! I used Crimini mushrooms (baby Portobello). I'm going to try it again with a bit of sage and rosemary as well and see how it tastes.

  7. Hi mate! Q please. How long would you say those gas cans last when cooking please? Currently I use butane in the house, I have to. I hate it and have never truly felt comfortable with it.

Great recipe, nice to get away from fats.
    Nice! Thank you.

  8. If you saw videos of geese being forced fed by all their lives, you would never have pate again! Mushroom pate is a great and even better replacement. Thank you Rik!

  9. I've been looking for an easy mushroom pate recipe for a while.
Tesco do a mushroom pate, but the tub is so small, you can just about cover 2 slices of toast with it! Expensive as well!
Thanks so much for sharing the recipe!
    New subscriber here too!

  10. Made and in the freezer, all ready for Christmas! Sampled it on my toast for tea.. really nice, not too strong a mushroom flavour, I used walnuts which I could taste now and then and instead of the cheese I used butter beans. Next time I will try it with the cheese! ❤🤗

  11. I've just made this and it's well nice. Thank you for sharing this and all your other recipes. Your take on roasties is spot on, they turn out perfectly crisp and fluffy.
All the best for Christmas and the new year Rik ❤

  12. Great Job Rik, you are a super fungi and a great presenter. Noticed there wasn’t mushroom in the bowl before you blended 🙃 Best from Brit in Arizona 👍🏻
