Congratulations to 90 days, and raising my mug of rooibos tea to many more!

I heard someone describe quitting a bad habbit this way and I think it makes a lot of sense. I used this mentality to help me quit smoking cigarettes.

    Congrats on passing a milestone

Hamms will drive anyone toward abstinence.

Good work my man! Coming up on my first year sober, I can almost think and function. A year ago I ~~could~~ would have drank what you’ve got on the table and walked to the store for more. What a trip.

Was sober for 5 years and relapsed back in September. Trying to cut it down again.

Congratulations for 90 days sober, that’s fantastic!

5 years this summer! the new location we’ve been in the past two+ years has our own brewery too… takes some real willpower each & every day, but it definitely beats the alternative for me.

to anyone interested: r/stopdrinking is literally a life-saving community/resource right here on reddit.

    cheers, chef!

  10. Four years and eleven months sober, things are STARTING to get better (since as an alcoholic everything centers in my mind). It’s one day at a time y’all, hang in there ❤️‍🩹

Hell yeah dude! I’m gonna be at a year soon. The biggest miracle? I actually remember what I needed from the walk-in now 😄

Since Feb 12 2024. Got gout so had to make some serious changes. Miss the paté and shellfish though.

3 years in, feeling fine. The hangovers just progressed to the point where I had to choose a path 🤣

Proud of you all, I’m not kitchen staff but it can’t be any easier that way. You’re doing it!

1 and a half or 2 years ish. Shit easy now, hadn’t thought about it for a while until this post! Hang in there.

Congrats on 90 days man that fucking rocks.

  18. Last time I had some was July 4th and before that was Xmas of the year before.

Two and a half years here. Now I have to deal with emotions and actually face my problems. Instead of hiding in a bottle of booze I have to confront my issues head on. I definitely feel like less fun, people have told me that. But I’m not going back, I feel like I’ve made more progress in these two years than I ever did while I was boozing.

  20. Noodlescissors

Made it an entire year on 1/1/25, I also still cook and bake with alcohol.

I used fosters for a beer battered corn dog and it was delicious, I’ll have to use hamms next time

I’m aout to hit 3 years in exactly 3 days. It would be extremely difficult to have that many cans in front of me though…

  22. tylerhovi

Need me a solid beer batter recipe. And I’m in the land of the sky blue waters.

  23. Incredulity1995

90 days sober and you’re able to work with that? Absolute respect. Keep it up dude.

  24. EPIC_NERD_HYPE

Used to crack a 30 rack of these open after work and drink them till they were all gone. I dont even drink beer anymore.

  25. Bastard216

I’m 145 days no alcohol! Loving it. I have fond memories of making beer cheese with Hamms and chugging beers as it cooked, I don’t miss the sloppy closes and spending my whole check immediately though.
