My favorite breakfast.

Cast iron pan 4:20 (lol) on each side. Basting with butter and thyme after first flip. Rested for 8 minutes. Eggs cooked in same cast iron while steak rested.

Is this medium rare?

  1. Judging cook based on a photo is really hard. The camera type and lighting hugely effect it. 

    We had natural ligt in the dining room that made everything look off. But if you put another light source on it. You could see the color you’d expect

  9. My camera always skews the color of the meat, but based on the lack of blood on the board, I’d say perfect medium. Just the other side of blood, maybe a little pink juice, is my perfect steak. Looks damn good.

    And that is the correct amount of pepper for the eggs. j/s
