Anyone tried this. Is this the dates I hear so much about? My nephew brought it back from the States for me

Kicks like a horse, probably the spiciest thing I have in my fridge.

Extract based sauce, got a very good kick to it.

I have a bottle of 3-5 drops in a curry, soup, stew or chilli and it gives it great flavor.

It’s one of the very few extract based sauces I like

  3. SchwiftySqaunch

It’s one of the spicier sauces out there and the flavor is good. Little too hot for me personally, once in awhile I get a craving for the supreme heat though.

Delicious. It’s the hot sauce that introduced me to my love of hot sauces.

    Thanks Dave.

Yes it is hot…don’t let it fool you it will ruin food if you use it like regular hot sauce…

  6. I don’t see any dates so I’m not sure which would be referred to. Is there a rumor a certain production period is spicer? I’d check that out, as Dave’s is already very spicy to begin with. My friends and I are big on (tasty) spice, and Dave’s was always fun and spicy enough to dare each other to put on anything.

I don’t have experience with Dave’s Ghost Pepper sauce, but Dave’s Insanity Sauce was one of my first introductions to *really hot* sauce decades ago. I worked as an apprentice in a kitchen and the stuff was all the rage with the line crew. I’ll always have respect for Dave’s.

For me personally, it tastes terrible and has an uncomfortable heat. I like spicy things but this stuff is just torture, and like I said it tastes bad to me personally.

Great if you put a few drops in scrambled eggs.

  10. solo_dbd_player

It is very hot, I really like it and use it quite a lot.

  11. Just know it doesn’t come with a sprinkle top, at least my last bottle didn’t- went to put a few drops on wings and got about 2Tbs instead.

It’s good, spicy, and flavourful. Took a while to finish it, it won’t floor you if you can handle spicy foods but it’ll give you a challenge.

Probably my favourite super-spicy sauce. Third hottest sauce in my fridge current but my favourite for flavour.

Dave’s Ultimate Insanity is one of my go-to hot sauces. My family doesn’t appreciate heat like I do, so I can’t use it in most foods I’m cooking. It usually ends up in the back of one of the shelves of the refridgerator when I go to look for it, so I end up going with a different hot sauce.

  14. I love the stuff.. it pairs well on BBQ brisket..

    Sucks on salad though 😉

Ahh, my favorite sauce yet. Respectable heat and good flavor. Goes well on nearly anything savory. Especially on some homemade musubi. You only need a few drops on whatever you use it on… Then one more… Then one more…

There are so many better ghost pepper sauces out there but this one is pretty decent. Not bad, not excellent imo.

Mine sat in the fridge for over a year not being used and then went in the trash can where it belongs. It did not taste good at all to me. There was something nasty about the extract flavor. Dave’s does make some other good sauces.

I mix in it with sauces, salsa and ketchup. It generally keeps the flavour profile while rocketing up the spice level.

Not sure if anybody else does this with new sauces, but I like to take a “shot” out of the bottle. Never a full ounce but a fairly decent sized amount.Well one summer night we’re drinking by the fire and a buddy says
“I got a new hot sauce for ya to try, it’ll spice up that Caesar you’re drinking.”
Me being the fool I am, takes the bottle and downs a fair sized sip. Big mistake, instantly turned into the ugly sweats and hiccups and pain. I mean the backs of my knees were sweating, it was pouring off my forehead and I couldn’t speak because I was hiccuping so bad. Needless to say about 10 minutes after that I was lying in bed with some intense cramps. Never did drink that Caesar either lol. The next day I read the ingredients and it all made sense. I ended up with the bottle and had it for a few years before I finished it, a few drops at a time. So it’s good if you meter your dose accordingly, but hell in a bottle if you try it straight or coated on a wing let’s say. Solid 6/10

  20. This is my go to. Good heat level. I use a spoon full in most dishes
