you will need that paper for when you get new stickers

This just in, some people are lazy, more news at nine.

Honestly as someone that did some prep and had to go thru these, it’s better than tearing each day dot and having alot of small cuts of white paper. You do want to also leave a bit of paper to grab.
With that said, this is shit. At least there is not visible food buildup on the plastigard.

Everyone knows Tuesday, Friday and Saturday are long ass days…
LacidOnex
Because if I’m prepping I put my stuff in the walk in after I’m done, but I still want to gaze at a monument to my productivity.
Plus if you rip off the paper after each one I assume you’re OCD as shit

I’m putting my bet on FoH….

After doing this for more than twenty years, I have concluded that the only DayDot product worth purchasing is the “USE FIRST” sticker. Light blue (painter’s) masking tape with the product name and date is the way to go for everything.

I never comment in this sub but this one pisses me off enough that I feel compelled to complain in alliance with OP. It takes .5 seconds to rip the paper Jesus

Your ocd your problem (is what I want to say to my boss who gets annoyed at this)
SummoningInfinity
That happens because you work in a restaurant that uses day dots. Those chain places are like 85+% undertrained, underpaid, undermotivated people mostly just going through the motions.
Buford_Burger
Just pull all the day dots you’re gonna need for the whole shift. It’s that or pull the paper off when you’re done idk how it would get this bad
We4reTheChampignons
I bet you’re a fucking nightmare to work with 😂
Solid_Examination_67
You can tell you do all the prep on Tuesdays and little to no prep on a Monday. Is that the weekends left overs for specials?
carrotUtopia
At first I thought you had a problem with the whole collection of labels. I’m used to writing the day on a sticker, only one roll of labels, and you just write down the knowledge you need. Makes storing the labels simpler too.

I’m only in this sub because it’s hilarious… help me out, what am I supposed to hate here?

Tape and empty roll to the other end and roll up the slack. Stuff the roll up against the plastic then roll it as you need it. It might work

At least they are in the correct order. There’s a 4ltr ice cream tub somewhere where the breakfast chef dumps her stickers after grabbing a strip. I got asked to organise them, and i laughed at her and walked off.
ranting_chef
Never used it but it sounds way better than a rainbow of different stickers.
Risingsunsphere
Are there chefs who insist on cutting the blue tape with scissors as shown in The Bear?
OurCommieMan
Ugh god this brought back repressed memories of these fucking things. Thank god for blue painters tape.
